Whenway Babsi from Rosehurst (Babsi)

Babsi truly changed our lives and has the most special place in our hearts. We never intended to show her but whilst doing her obedience training we were encouraged by Eric Broadhurst (you owe us a lot of money Eric) to try showing her.
Off to her first show at Luton and she won puppy and went Best Puppy In Breed – we got the "bug". Babsi went on to gain many places at Championship level – you never knew if she would go steady round the ring or at light speed – she loved the moment when she knew the judge had gone over her and she could move.
We thank Eric for showing her on occasions and showing us the way in the ring.
At home Babsi always did what we asked of her. In fact when it came to having her one and only litter (our first litter) she was due on my birthday and being anxious first timers – we thought we would have a nice birthday meal at home - so I said to Babsi just let us eat our meal and then have your pups.
She did exactly that, 9 p.m. she started whelping, all over by midnight and seven lovely puppies – two stayed and become our Cher and Baron.

Cher at Richmond after winning the RCC |
Cher – like her mum a true delight to live with – much easier to show and was the first of our kennel to hit the big time by gaining the Reserve C.C. at Richmond behind the then Breed record holder. What a lovely day.

Kinaway Baron (Baron)

Baron – what can one say a total clown – he preferred walking backwards just in case he was going to miss anything, but of course then usually managed to trip over something. He had many places in the show ring but whilst on a sheep training holiday – again because he was not looking what he was doing – hit some mud and crashed to the floor. We thought for one moment he broken his back – thankfully he fully recovered but the back was never 100% right so we stopped showing him and he became the life long friend of his sister and carried on fooling around the place.

At home the twins were always together – right to the last – they could not live without each other and both went over the rainbow bridge together on the same day.
